M/OTHERWORDS is a literary appreciation community offering reading and discussion groups, both online and in person, publishing original pieces from selected authors, and providing a space for participants to comment on and discuss selected extracts.

Please read and follow these guidelines while interacting with others – both on the website and in any reading groups you attend – for a welcoming, safe and positive community.

Be thoughtful and kind in your comments.

Respect other people’s thoughts and feelings, even if they differ from your own.

Keep your camera on as much as possible during online reading groups, to improve the ease and quality of your interactions with other participants.

Use your first name and the first letter of your surname as your title on Zoom calls

Do not share Zoom links for online reading groups with anyone else.

Do not join an in-person reading group if you or your accompanying infant have an infectious illness.

Do not make comments that are abusive, offensive, threatening, derogatory, defamatory or discriminatory, or likely to cause alarm or distress. Any participant not complying with this will be temporarily or permanently excluded from the M/OTHERWORDS community.

Do not copy or extract any content from the M/OTHERWORDS community (whether through the website or a reading group) and share in any other form or any social media platform.

Do not post commercial or promotional links without the permission of M/OTHERWORDS.

Do not pretend to be someone that you are not.

Do not post anything which violates copyright.
